Introduction
to
Online
Slots
::
Part
2
Placing
the
wager

Once
you've
selected
your
coin
value,
you
can
then
make
a
single
coin
bet,
or
a
multiple
coin
bet.
The
above
figure
illustrates
a
typical
bet
control
on
an
online
slot
machine.
To
bet
a
single
coin,
you
would
hit
the
'BET
ONE'
button
then
the
'SPIN'
button.
To
bet
2
coins
or
2
pay-lines,
you
would
hit
the
'BET
ONE'
twice
then
the
'SPIN'
button.
To
bet
the
maximum
number
of
coins,
simply
hit
the
'BET
MAX'
button
and
the
the
maximum
coin
bet
will
be
laid
and
the
reels
will
spin.
Pay-tables
The
slot
machine
pay
table
will
tell
you
how
many
coins
you
will
win
for
a
given
symbol
combination
along
the
pay-line(s).
The
pay
table
is
usually
displayed
clearly
on
the
game
consol,
or
on
a
second
screen
that
you
can
view
by
hitting
a
button
on
the
game
consol.
It
is
important
to
note
that
the
pay
table
will
usually
be
expressed
in
terms
of
'coins'
.
So
a
if
you
win
a
jackpot
paying
4,000
coins,
and
you
are
playing
with
$0.25
coins,
then
your
actual
win
is
$1,000.
If
you
win
the
same
jackpot
and
are
playing
with
$5
coins,
your
actual
win
is
$20,000.
Regular
v
progressive
games
Regular
slot
machines
have
fixed
jackpots
that
are
displayed
on
the
pay
tables
and
do
not
change.
The
majority
of
online
slots
are
regular
slots
with
fixed
value
jackpots.
Progressive
slot
machines
have
jackpots
that
are
not
fixed
and
climb
over
time
and
drop
to
a
default
value
after
being
one.
Progressive
slot
games
are
typically
linked
across
a
number
of
casinos
so
that
many
players
are
contributing
to
the
rising
progressive
jackpot.
Some
games
have
progressive
jackpots
that
reach
well
in
excess
of
$1,000,000.
It
is
important
to
note,
that
in
order
to
be
eligible
for
the
progressive
jackpot
on
a
progressive
game
you
will
always
need
to
bet
the
maximum
number
of
coins/pay-lines
per
spin.
Bonus
feature
Bonus
feature
slots
offer
an
additional
chance
to
win
credits
by
offering
a
second
game
in
addition
to
the
slots
game.
The
bonus
feature
game
will
be
a
simple
game
of
chance
(eg
pick
one
out
of
5
balloons,
each
with
a
different
number
of
credits
inside)
affording
the
opportunity
to
win
extra
credits.
It
will
usually
be
presented
on
a
second
screen
when
you
qualify
to
play
the
bonus
feature.
Multi-spin

Multi-spin
games
are
pretty
rare
but
you
will
be
able
to
find
a
few
that
you
can
play
online
sing
our
slots
finder.
The
figure
above
is
of
a
5
row
multi-spin
game
from
Playtech.
Multi-spin
games
are
like
3,
4,
or
5
slot
machines
in
one,
with
a
twist,
adn
are
played
as
follows:
-
Place
your
bet
and
hit
'SPIN',
or
simply
'BET
MAX';
-
The
1st
row
of
reels
will
spin
and
come
to
a
rest;
-
You
must
then
choose
to
hold
(or
not)
any
of
the
symbols
on
the
pay-line
of
the
1st
row
by
hitting
the
corresponding
hold
button;
-
When
you
hold
a
symbol,
the
all
reels
in
the
rows
directly
above
that
symbol
will
automatically
display
the
chosen
symbol
on
the
reel
pay-line;
-
You
then
hit
'SPIN'
and
all
reels
on
all
rows
(including
the
1st)
that
were
not
held
will
spin
and
come
to
a
rest
and
this
is
the
final
game
outcome;
-
The
pay-table
will
apply
to
each
row
as
a
separate
game.
ie
it
is
possible
to
win
the
jackpot
5
times
in
the
one
game
across
all
5
rows.
Multi-spin
games
also
allow
scope
for
some
pretty
big
bets
for
you
high
rollers
out
there.
The
game
above,
for
example
allows
a
maximum
$5
per
coin,
5
coins
per
row,
for
all
5
rows
for
a
total
of
$125
per
spin!
